Praise God for the truckload of blessings we received over the last couple of days. This is just a snapshot of the favor that has walked through the door. Again, none if it is possible without the Prince of Peace and the numerous resources He has placed on our path to execute it. Every customer, mentor, engineer, inside sales associate, manufacturer, owner, bank officer, attorney, insurance agent, delivery driver, janitor and supporting spouse remind me of how good God Almighty really is.
It has been difficult for me to write and post words of encouragement over the last couple of weeks. With the horrific news from Uvalde and then the devastating loss of life from Tomball, anything I put down on paper seems to be void of importance as I think about the nightmare my brothers and sisters are enduring. I spend a healthy amount of time on my knees day and night begging God for His mercy towards my own children. I regularly and willingly offer my own life in a plea for help, praying that His perfect will does not involve me succeeding them in death. While these prayers are extremely emotional and difficult to process, they pale in comparison to those being recited just a few hours away. The reality of empty lunch kits, unmade beds, missed graduations and silenced playrooms is all too real.
Tonight, I tucked each one of my children into bed, kissed their cheek and reminded them of how lucky I am to be their dad. If there is any encouragement I can extend it would be for you to duplicate the act and perform whatever steps are necessary for those next door whose bedtime routine will forever be altered.
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Revelations 21:4
