‘Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt offering and the wood and the stones and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces and said, ‘The Lord, he is God; the Lord, he is God.’ 1 Kings 18:38-39
I love that Elijah used the area’s most precious resource to douse the wood, the offering and the altar not once but three times, completely trusting that God would rain fire down from heaven and show the people who they were dealing with.
The lesson here is two fold. Water, during this season, was like gold. Not to mention they were in a wasteland with little hope that the drought would end anytime soon. Elijah used a handsome amount of it three different times because he completely trusted God to show up. He also completely trusted God to provide.
Not only can my God send down fire that literally burns up water he can also provide a swimming pool in the desert.
Praise God for the blessing below. This customer was in a bind and the local rep had trouble finding what was needed. War Horse was able to turn over a few rocks and find this stainless steel Fisher V-ball in a few hours, pulling out a win for our great customer
