I meet with my staff regularly to discuss what is going on in our business world. We discuss our weaknesses and our strengths, where we need help, what works for the customer and what does not and what our relationship with Christ looks like in the process. At the end of each meeting I reassure my team that the two most important goals are honoring God and loving our customer. We do not talk about the bottom line.
We have had jobs where the profit is minimal and others well into the red. As much as we strive to be profitable it doesn’t always end that way. If my Jesus is honored and our piece-of-gold customer is smiling it is a total win and the regrets are nonexistent.
