I never intended to leave my former company and start my own business. I enjoyed my job, enjoyed my customers and felt like I knew my products very well. But, a merger ushered in new management and that new leadership desired more of the things I did not. A once flourishing relationship became a souring one solidifying my attendance off the bus.
It is common place, unfortunately, for people to cast a dark shadow on their previous employer, especially if there’s mud in the water, upon their departure. It is also common place for the employer to use the employee as their escape goat when one of these unwanted exits play out.
Taking the highroad is not only difficult but it’s against the very things our flesh desires. Be encouraged if this is the path you are on. If you are a follower of Christ the position you’re in is no accident. Every step is on purpose and designed to make you more like Jesus.
God is just as faithful in His provision of daily bread as He is in His protection from it. Pick up your tunic and serve when you would rather throw a punch. Choose to speak life when you would rather spew vomit. I can guarantee you there are people listening in. As for me and my house we will serve the Lord.
