The last couple of days we’ve had to cross a picket line at one of our best accounts in order to assist plant operations with deliveries of essential equipment. While we have not experienced physical harm or hostile encounters, it has been an arduous task. We have friends on both sides of the line and with each request for product, a surplus of mixed emotions is left in the middle.
We praise God for the daily bread. We praise God for the made-of-gold customers that continue to call us. We praise God for our safety navigating each gate. And, we praise God for our families that keep their objections limited when we leave the house at 10PM to make one of these site visits. We pray for a quick resolution. We pray all of our friends are kept safe. We pray for God to provide for those in need and we pray for those separated from their families.
As one of my employees reminded me tonight, what stands on the inside and outside of each gate is another opportunity to wash feet and share the Gospel. Until some sort of amicable settlement is reached, we will continue to do our part bringing whatever light we can into the darkness.
