“Wealth and honor come from You; You are the ruler of all things. In Your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all.” Chronicles 29:12
Each staff meeting I go around the room asking my team what they need to better accomplish their job and more importantly, what they need to better cultivate their relationship with Christ. I remind them, and myself, that we do what we do in order to hopefully exalt God. To give Him the first place in our every thought, every word and every deed.
I remind them that serving God, from this industrial platform, does not always look like a 36” Valve in F11 with five zeros behind it. While those orders are nice and do keep the lights on, for more than a few days, in the grand scheme, they are insignificant.
What is significant is how we execute that order. Who we think about honoring when the customer calls. Whose integrity we flaunt when our manufacturer accidentally invoices us incorrectly. Who we trust when the numbers don’t add up. Who we praise when the manna falls from the sky. And, Who we give to with a cheerful heart.
Praise God Jehovah, the First and the Last, the Ruler of all things!
