Twenty-four years ago I sat across the conference table from my future employer in the first interview of a handful regarding industrial sales. The branch manager handed me a valve brochure and told me to read it and study it and come back the next day “ready” to take a test. Truth be told, I could barely spell “valve” and did not have a clue how to calculate CV, MAST or torque. Process, choked flow, fluid recovery and cavitation were foreign terms as was my understanding of their effects on the various flow paths, designs and metallurgies that exist by the hundreds.
But, for that season of life my mechanical mind was designed by God alone for the opportunity at hand and it would later birth a love and passion for the valve and instrument world that would create an external and internal drive to “equip my customer” for their own version of success.
Praise Jesus today, the mission is to give that knowledge and experience back to my loyal contacts, and the generation that is rising up behind them. Praise God the mission of washing feet goes well beyond the sale and communicates a desire to help where we can, even if it’s finding a $2.00 fitting. Praise the Father, Son and Holy Spirit a way continues to be made, doors continue to open and every manner of valve make and shape has graced our doorsill.
To God be the glory for this assortment that came in over the last few days!
