Praise the Lord for the shelter only He can provide as the elements continue to vesicate the roof of the house and scorch the ground beneath my feet. It is of great comfort knowing and understanding that while this desert may be unfamiliar to me, it is most definitely not of surprise and wonder to my sovereign God. The earth is His, and everything in it, and what remains a mystery is why He invites me to be a part of it. My trust waivers and He does not. My obedience dwindles and His gifts flood the storehouse regardless of. I am nowhere close to being worthy, and yet He continues to remind me of the merit and value that radiated from the cross then, and even more so today.
May I spend every ounce of energy and every drop of sweat running this marathon back into His arms of refuge and security.
